Toomas Schvak was asked about proliferating web initiatives at Eu level, some of them funded by the same organisation.
The EDL should not just be a portal of db’s but a portal of portals, and it should be outward looking – to other types of publishers like Google or the big online publishers.

Hi Jon, great to see stuff happening on this blog – just yesterday my better half was asking if the SWTT was going to come to anything. Sounds like a great conference and I’d like to hear more about the comments on EDL specifically – there is a meeting in London next week about it and I get the feeling were still in a definition phase, which offers us hope.
