Workshop reports from Brighton and Newcastle
The reports / transcriptions from the ‘Social networking’ and ‘eLearning’ meetings are now online. A little more work is needed here and there but we hope you find this material useful. The reports are under the Workshop reports tab.

Just to follow up on some of the discussions about microformats in the Brighton workshop, in a recent presentation from the BBC Backstage team, Martin Kamara indicated clearly that BBC is looking to develop new microformats for ‘everything! When asked, he said that their priority will probably be a microformat for news stories. It can only be a good thing, especially for the 24hour museum!

Hi Areti, only just spotted this! That’s very interesting news, I’ll keep an eye on them. I’ve made a certain amount of progress with my own format, but much of what I’ve done has concerned how it might be used i.e. building an application to USE MF data, rather than focussing on the details of the format itself, since I figure if you want people to use the thing then you need to show them what they have to gain from it. I’d be pleased to show you what I’ve done and get your feedback some time
